Barry Wallach

Barry Wallach, the former Chief Operating Officer of Citadel, a $25 billion hedge fund, has joined Diamond Wealth Strategies and will serve on it's Advisory Board.   

In his role as COO of Citadel, Wallach was responsible for Operations, Investor Relations, Legal, and Financial matters including income tax and financial reporting.  In addition to being the past COO of Citadel, Wallach was also the Managing Partner of U.S. operations at Arthur Andersen.  In this role,  Wallach was responsible for a variety of functions including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Public Relations, and Human Resources.  These areas directly supported 65 U.S. offices and more than 25,000 Arthur Andersen employees.  He was a member of the Global Tax and Legal Leadership Team, the U.S. Leadership Team, and the U.S. Executive Council.

During Wallach's 31-year career at Arthur Andersen, he held numerous leadership posts within the organization, including a number of terms as a member of the Andersen Worldwide Board of Partners.  On the Board he served on the Expansion, Finance, and Partner Admissions Committees.  Wallach participated in efforts that led to the restructuring of Andersen and the creation of Andersen Consulting (today known as Accenture).  He was also involved in the creation of firm wide strategies including leadership of the International Task Force that authored and helped implement Global Tax Strategy for Andersen.

Wallach has been a frequent speaker, panelist, and author.  He has been a member of the Northwestern University Associates, served on the Advisory Board for the Center for Real Estate Research at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and also served on the University of Illinois at Chicago's Professional Advisory Board.  Wallach has been a guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin Law School and an instructor at DePaul University where he taught courses in partnerships and real estate taxation for the Masters of Science Program.  Wallach graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago and received his J.D. from DePaul Law School.  He is also a CPA and member of the AICPA and Illinois CPA Society.
